Growing up in Louisiana in a musical family with seven siblings, Johnny was immersed in music from an early age. His mom played piano at a local church, while his dad sang and played guitar at family gatherings. Two of his sisters are full-time piano instructors, and another pursued a degree in voice, which further solidified music as a central part of his upbringing. Music was more than just a passion—it was and remains to be his primary method of connecting with others and understanding his place within his family, friend group and community. This early connection to music shaped his desire to perform and share what music has given him with others.
